Christmas is a celebration. And a celebration is full of joy and happiness. It is no coincidence that Christmas celebrates a birth and, when a child is born, people are so happy.
So come and visit our three nativity scenes in Ragusa Ibla:
1. The Monumental Nativity of the Church of "Signore Trovato": a grandiose monumental nativity scene that is a work of art. When we say "monumental" we mean you can even walk inside. And when we call it a work of art, we mean that the shepherds are the work of the master figurine maker Giuseppe Criscione. And who knows, you might not be able to recognize glimpses of Ibla during your visit...
2. The Nativity Scene in Maddalena church: a special nativity scene that cannot be told in words, you have to come and visit it to understand its peculiarity.
3. The Neapolitan nativity scene by the artist Salvatore Carulli: Mary has just given birth, she is still lying down and she is helped by the women who wash little Jesus while others are busy warming the clothes to dress him. His father Giuseppe waits at the cradle. An unusual nativity scene that arouses great tenderness.
The Via dei Presepi will be inaugurated at the Maddalena church on 7 December 2024, at 7pm. For the occasion, the Maddalena nativity scene and the Signore Trovato nativity scene will close at 10pm.
