The Barocca Ciclostorica Iblea was born from the idea of a group of friends passionate about cycling who want to promote a territory declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, riding through it on vintage bicycles. Participants will take a dive into the past wearing vintage clothing, on a walk that will give them the opportunity to admire places that have inspired artists and poets over the centuries and that, even today, are the backdrop to prestigious film and television productions. Stage of the Giro d'Italia d'Epoca The Barocca is a stage of the Giro d'Italia d'Epoca, a series of events dedicated to vintage cycling. Numerous stages distributed throughout the national territory, in the most beautiful locations, which retrace and recreate the places and themes of heroic cycling.
Heroic bicycles To participate in the event, road racing bicycles must have been built before 1987 and with steel frames. The shift levers must be on the down tube and the pedals must have toe clips and straps. The brake cables must be routed outside the handlebars and the wheels must be mounted with low profile rims and at least 32 spokes.
