A notable priceless exhibition presented by the Fondazione Cesare e Doris Zipelli in Palazzo Garofalo, which is also home to the Museum of the Cathedral.
Dating from between the 16th and 19th century, the images from the ‘Sicilia Antiqua’ exhibit are an important body of work, showing how the island has been depicted in print.
Lovingly collected by Professor Zipelli, the ancient engravings and prints show the evolution from the approximate representation of the 1500s to the more detailed mapping of the Bourbon era.
