Cava dei Servi
The hills around Ragusa are home to a beautiful and unspoiled nature reserve, Cava dei Servi, close to the hamlet of San Giacomo Bellocozzo.
It it is full of typical Mediterranean plants, most notably tall oak trees and holm oaks. The reserve is very varied, alternating between flat lands and sheer cliffs overhanging deep gorges which, in prehistoric times, were also used by people for shelter.
