Path Cava Gria - Lake Santa Rosalia
A 12 km* loop hike which is suitable for everyone due to its minimal difference in altitude. The route is in the northeast of Ragusa and alternates dirt tracks, asphalts and cobbled roads. (*approx. 8 miles)
The tour starts from Lake Santa Rosalia, an artificial dam of Sicily formed by river Irminio waters. Lake Santa Rosalia features the presence of a breathtaking landscape and a flourishing environment where many protected species of birds live.
From Lake Santa Rosalia, you can easily reach Cava Gria. Cava Gria, named after the homonymous river that crosses it, is a wide valley crossed by river Gria that feeds the adjacent dam.
